A collection of pages developed as part of my Masters in Online Teaching and Learning from CSU-Global. For the most part, these pages are the final Portfolio Project assignment for each course. Some of the projects involve a thorough analysis and discussion of topics, where as others were focused more on developing content. Some pages are simply module-level assignments.

Description:
Examination and analysis of historical and contemporary models for delivery of instruction. Focus on applications of instructional methods in Pre-K-12 environments and non-traditional settings.
Instructional Theory and Design Principles – OTL 540
Description:
Introduction to instructional system design theories and models used in distance learning settings. Practical emphasis on application of these theories to effective course design.
Evaluation and Assessment in Online Learning – OTL 541
Description:
Examination of methods and techniques for evaluation and assessment of learning in the distance and online learning context. Analysis of contemporary issues in online assessment.
Online Learning Technologies – OTL 542
Description:
Survey of methods and critical reflection of various current and emerging technologies for online and distance learning, with emphasis on selecting appropriate technologies for effective instruction.
Multimedia Technologies and Design Principles – OTL 543
Description:
Survey of methods, skills, and tools for creating multimedia learning opportunities. Creative exploration and application of new and emerging multimedia technologies.
Online Curriculum Development and Design – OTL 550
Description:
Philosophies and theories guiding the development of curriculum and courses for effective learning. Practical application in establishing quality assurance models for teaching and learning at the instructional level.
Facilitating Learning and Transfer – OTL 560
Description:
An evaluation of contemporary learning theories, with emphasis on major issues, research findings, and application of learning principles to online teaching and learning. Students will examine online instructional strategies and practice facilitation techniques that promote learning transfer. The course also provides students with essential knowledge and skills in preparation for the capstone course.
Program Planning and Development – OTL 570
Description:
Establishing online learning programs for adult and nontraditional learners. Focus on research, strategic and business planning, development, and evaluation.
Capstone Project – OTL 599
Description:
This course provides students the opportunity to demonstrate the culmination of their learning in their program through the design of a capstone project or portfolio of customized professional work.
