Distance Learning Strategies
For anyone working with adult or nontraditional learners, strategies play an important role. In many respects, traditional strategies can be a framework for a teacher/facilitator working with adults, though there are some key differences . For example, the characteristics of an adult/nontraditional learner are quite different than a child. Often, teachers/facilitators work with adults from a distance, through a correspondence or online program. This series of pages addresses what I’ve learned about some of the strategies helpful for working in a distance learning environment.
